I will not be purchasing another Panasonic product and will have it assessed by an INDEPENDENT professional before approaching Panasonic again.
No apology for their product smoking out my kitchen, no safety data sheets, no concern for my health or exposure to whatever the smoke was that their product produced. I noted that if they assessed it and determined it wasnt a fault I would have to pay for the assessment. I received an email from them the same day requesting purchasing information and for me to return the appliance to them. I responded that they could send a courier to which they declined. The customer service officer then asked me to return it to a Panasonic customer service centre.
They asked what I was heating, what container I was using etc apparently overlooking the details of my email. I received a phone call from Panasonic in regard to the email. I immediately emailed Panasonic to report the fault and asked for safety data information in regard to the smoke as the smell, its effect on me and the inability to remove the smell suggested it may be hazardous. The smoke was coming out from behind the keypad and lower portion of the microwave on the same side was too hot to touch. I had to go through the smoke which irritated my eyes to turn the microwave off. I smelt an acrid, burning chemical smell and saw clouds of smoke pouring out of my kitchen. If it breaks down, I will update this complaint! If this breaks down, I hope to god I buy a microwave that does not cut off the internet. A lot of peoples Panasonic Microwave has this same problem. IT HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE APRIL!!! I didnt realize at first that the internet was cutting me off for no reason, but now it is because of Microwave usage! For example, if its used for 5 minutes, the internet is down for 5 minutes due to Microwave usage! Also, this product might break down soon in months or even next year. This was bought immediately not knowing this: This Microwaves cuts off the internet!!! Havent tried anything to get this Microwave to stop cutting off the Wi-Fi yet. I CANT BELIEVE I HAVE THIS MICROWAVE! My family has bought this in April 20 I CANT BELIEVE I HAVE THIS MICROWAVE! My family has bought this in April 2016 after our old Emerson Microwave broke down. This is a dangerous device and if it is not made correctly and within strict guidelines, someones life could be in danger by shock or their home burning down. I still have the microwave and may call an attorney. So the next day the microwave was plugged back in and immediately I saw an arch of electricity blast within the microwave itself.
I didnt hear any gun going off that night so it must have been the microwave. I began to try to eliminate what the sound was not and finally came to the conclusion that it must be the microwave, so I unplugged it. I didnt know where the sound came from but it was a really loud sound like a gun going off. Two nights later the same thing happened. I didnt get any sleep the rest of the night. Of course the police only rode by my home and didnt even bother to check to see if anyone was there with a gun (Normal for where we live). The sound was extremely loud and it frightened me so badly that I called the local police department and complained. I fell asleep on my couch and woke up to what sounded like a gun going off on my patio. It had been a good microwave, no door problems, or anything like what Ive read about till about a week ago.
